Notre Dame Paris & Ile de la Cité Walking Tour Detailed Description

Walk by the place where Marie Antoinette, among others, were called before being judged at the Palais de Justice, the Conciergerie. In the 14th century, this building was at first a Royal Palace before becoming a prison.

Next stop by the Sainte Chapelle and its 15 gigantic floor to ceiling stained glasses built under Louis IX to welcome his personal holy relics, including his holy crown.

Now, welcome to the most visited site in Europe: the legendary Notre Dame Paris Cathedral, its gargoyles and its architecture with asymmetrical elements to avoid monotony!

Learn the history of the ancient testament on the detailed facade and the three main portals. After visiting the outside of the cathedral, go inside and discover the beautiful rose windows reflecting on the floor with the sun.

Did you know? The cathedral can welcome more than 6000 worshippers! Then, cross the Saint Louis Bridge and stroll down the streets of the Ile Saint Louis, with its restaurants and boutiques.
