National Gallery Guided Tour
Explore London’s National Gallery with a guide and discover one of the world’s great art collections. Founded in 1824 with a display of just 36 paintings, today the National Gallery is home to more than 2,000 works of art. Discover masterpieces from virtually every European school of art.
Admire the Sainsbury Wing extension, now home to the gallery’s earliest works, including Italian paintings by Giotto and Piero della Francesca. The Sainsbury Wing is also the setting for temporary exhibitions. See Renaissance masterpieces in the West Wing by artists such as Correggio, Titian, and Raphael.
Explore the 17th-century Dutch and Flemish art in the North Wing, and continue to the rooms full of Italian and Spanish Old Masters. In the East Wing, reached via the street-level entrance in Trafalgar Square, you will find some of the gallery’s most popular paintings. Admire art by the French Impressionists and post-Impressionists, including Monet’s water lily paintings and one of Van Gogh’s sunflowers.
It’s impossible to see everything on one visit to the National Gallery, but this guided tour will help you make the most of your time. There’s also an atmospheric café stocked with Oliver Peyton goodies, as well as the fine dining National Dining Rooms.
